Schloss Brollin is an international production centre for performative arts, offering spaces and areas as well as creative exchange and freedom for artistic work of every discipline.
A BIT OF HISTORY
Bröllin castle was first mentioned historically in 1233, however, the “Schloss” Bröllin is not a castle in the true sense of the word, but an old knight’s estate. But was given the name castle in the 1970s by local residents inspired by the manor house tower.
Bröllin Castle is one of the few manors in the region that have been preserved as a whole and it is registered as an architectural monument in the municipality of Fahrenwalde.“schloss bröllin e.V.”, is the cultural association which Rules over the castle! was founded in 1992 by creative minds and committed people. They bought the property in the 2000 and keep developing since then.
HOW IS SCHLOSS BRÖLLIN?
A land of over 53.000m2 with several buildings. Some of them are still barns as they were for ages, and some are fully renovated. There are different rehearsal studios and showing rooms with the possibility of working also outdoors.
There are dormitories and rooms for different amount of people. And a big industrial kitchen, a bar, refectorium and other dinning places.
But remember that this is not a Hotel or anything like that. Most of the accommodation will be in a basic dormitory with shared bathrooms for many people with the possibility to upgrade your accommodation to different kind of rooms (even with private bathroom!).
WHERE IS IT?
Brolin is located in the north east of Germany. Surrounded by fields and forests with the closer town about 7 km away.
It’s only 25 km away from the Polish border and about 40 km away from the northern sea.
